My character is Tituba (Crucible), and her internal conflict is telling the truth. She struggles with whether or not she should confess that she is a complice with the devil. She does indeed decide to tell the truth; that she speaks with the devil, and they imprision her. After this she decides its worth doing what she believes and sides with him once again.
Ruth deals with trying to find hapiness. She spends much of her time worrying about so much she has a hard time letting go and remembering that she needs to be happy. As the novel continues, she learns to come out of her shell and accept the good moments that are happpening in her life.
Abigail in The Crucible internal conflict is honesty. Abigail nerver tells the truth about anything she said or did. She never confesses in the court house of telling the lies she told about everyone she accused. It never gets resolved because she was not found guilty, so she steals Parris's money and escapes on a ship.
in the crucible Abigails internal conflicts are trust and honesty. she struggles with them because she accuses everyone of being a witch and lies. nobody belives her because they have caught her in so many lies. and nobody trusts her because of those lies. she resolves the problem by taking Parris's money and leaving town
Beneatha is grown and still trying to figure out who she really is. With the help of Asagai she eventually finds herself. She realized that she is a beautiful, black, women that can do anything she set her mind to doing. Bennie had to let go of all of the things that brought her down including her rich boyfriend that attempted to silence her voice.
Walter struggles a lot with his wife, Ruth because they are so far distanced apart and don't have a good relationship. Another conflict is with the investment for the liquor store. In the end of the play Walter finally becomes a man and stands up for himself and starts to make the right decisions.
My character is Cates from Inherit the Wind. He doesn't really have any internal confilcts, however he has conflicts with society. Everyone in the town does not like him because he has taught evolution to his students. People think it is wrong and only believe in what the Bible says. Cates on the other hand think he has done nothing wrong. The conflict is never fully resolved, even though Cates does get off trial with only a $100 fine.
My internal conflict will be Abigail because, she just want to see me lose husband and accusing me of been a witchcraft, and that may lead to my death. I just put ever thing in to God hand, and one day all this problem we be solve. I pray for that day to came.
The Judge in the book Inherit the Wind has an internal conflict involving him making a decsion on what to do with Cates. He is trying to decied if he should put him in jail or make him pay a fine.
One of Drummond's conflicts (man vs.self) is that he struggles with his isolation. Drummond might resolve his isolation by talking with all his friends but I believe his conflict is not resolved because he doesn't seem to change his attitude.
Ms. Putnam from the Crucible, I struggle with the fact that I lost my other seven babies, apart from Ruth who has been cursed. This was all resolved with the fact that everyone was questioned if they were a witch! Also, several people died for not admiting or admiting! It all just depened on their case.
In the crucible John's internal conflict is honesty and being trustworthy. John struggles with this becoause he constantly lies to Elizabeth about his affair with Abigail. He has lost her trust, and because of Abigail the towns trust aswell. He ends up resolving his conflict by asking for his wife's forgivness and by forgiving himself, before the hanging.
In "The Crucible", Elizabeth's main conflict is dealing with being wrongly accused for dealing with witchcraft. They decide to hang her until they find out that she is pregnant. She is also ambivalent towards Abigail Williams after she finds out she had an affair with her husband.
Walters conflict is with investing in the liqour store because everyone is telling him its a bad and idea in the end they were right he got his money stolen by his friend willy but he also finally became a man and stood up to mr.linder to get his family in their new house
Ruth has conflict within her when she is struggling to live in a better place. She is making herself believe that it is okay to not think about money so much, even though they need a new place to live. Ruth is also trying to make herself a better mother and wife.
In Inherit the Wind, Rachel, has alot of iternal conflicts with herself, and also with her dad. She is trying to fight the feelings she has for Cates and with her father totally being agaisnt the whole situation it doesn't help. She can't make up her mind on whether or not she will go against her father and love Cates.
countinued...(Rachel, Inherit the wind) Her conflicts are resolved at the end when she finally decides to make up her mind. She decides to go against her father's wishes and finally follow her heart and how she really felt, this led her to Cates. So i t all just worked out in the end.
